Install the CalcEagle App

Last updated

CalcEagle is a progressive web app (PWA). You can add it to your home screen or desktop without an app store, and calculators you have opened keep working offline.

Android (Chrome, Edge, Samsung Internet)

  1. Open calceagle.com in Chrome.
  2. Tap Install app on this page if you see the button, or open the browser menu (⋮) and choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
  3. Confirm. CalcEagle appears in your app drawer and opens in its own window.

iPhone and iPad (Safari)

  1. Open calceagle.com in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow).
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then tap Add.

On recent versions of iOS and iPadOS, you can also add web apps to the Home Screen from other browsers through their Share menu. CalcEagle on iPhone is a web app added from the browser — it is not an App Store app.

Windows, Mac, Linux and ChromeOS (Chrome or Edge)

Click the install icon at the right side of the address bar, or open the browser menu and choose Install CalcEagle / Apps › Install this site as an app.

Using CalcEagle offline

  • Pages and calculators you have opened are saved automatically on your device.
  • Use Save all calculators for offline use above to download every calculator at once (a few megabytes).
  • When you are offline, a notice at the top of the page reminds you that content may be out of date. Calculations still work because they run on your device.

Updates

The app updates itself when you are online: new versions are downloaded in the background and used the next time you open a page.

Removing the app

Uninstall it like any other app (long-press the icon on Android or iPhone, or use the app's menu on desktop). To remove saved offline pages, clear this site's data in your browser settings.
